Aspire PeacePlus ,5th classes trip to Donegal

22nd Jun 2026

On Wednesday the 10th of June the two 5th classes from Four Masters N.S and the Senior half of Cliffoney N.S went stand up paddle boarding in Donegal Bay.We also went into Rossylongan forest and played some fun games such as predator which is a game where one person stands at a checkpoint and closes their eyes and counts to five everyone can run closer to the checkpoint while the person at the checkpoint counts. When they’re done counting you have to hide so you can’t be seen, and if you are seen you are out.The point of the game is you have to make it to the checkpoint without being caught !

The paddle boards were huge and they could fit twelve people at a time and was seventeen feet long. Each group had an instructor with them to be safe. Most groups paddled out to the bridge.A few of the groups grouped up and jumped off their board into the mildly warm water.

We all had lots of fun and would love to again sometime.

We did all of this as part of our PeacePlus Aspire project .

The PeacePlus Aspire program is a cross-border Shared Education initiative that connects schools and pre-schools across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland. It fosters peace, reconciliation, and inclusivity by bringing together children and young people from diverse cultural, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds to learn and collaborate.
