This week, the students had the opportunity to participate in a Willow Weaving Workshop with Helena, the Willow Woman. They learned about the willow tree and its many uses. They were fascinated by the lifecycle of the willow tree. Following a busy and engaging day of weaving, the students created beautiful willow baskets to take home.
The students also completed their Music Generation programme this week. They greatly enjoyed Cristina’s weekly visits to the classroom as they developed a broad range of musical knowledge and skills, across a variety of instruments. During their final session, the students reflected on their learning and performed a selection of songs they had practised throughout the year, including An Octopus's Garden by The Beatles!
