Last week we welcomed Zak Moradi who showcased his documentary ‘Home: The Story of Zak Moradi’ an did a Q & A with the students. His documentary told the story of Zak’s life as a refugee living in Iraq before moving to Leitrim were he fell in love with the GAA culture in Ireland and went on to be a successful hurler for the county. Our students learnt a lot about the importance of friendship, empathy and inclusivity and how sport can be a great way to get to know the community you are living in.
